BeGREEN D3.2 is now live!

SNS BeGREEN Project's D3.2 presents initial developments and evaluation of the proposed physical (PHY) layer enhancements and optimisation strategies, specific solutions and their potential for improving energy efficiency in cellular networks and provides some performance and power measurement results 👀

These include advanced architectures for distributed unit (DU) and central unit (CU) accelerations, and initial results on reducing power consumption of DU modules with high computational complexity, and comparative analysis of CU performance using x86 and #ARM platforms 📊

The document also explores several power saving techniques in the radio unit (RU), such as AI based Digital-Pre-Distortion and Envelope Tracking. ISAC and RIS are also discussed in the context of resource usage improvement. Coverage extension, and strategies for interference management using relays to improve the network energy efficiency are also proposed 💡
